What I have been doing is creating video summaries of my blog posts.
These videos are usually between 1 1/2 and 2 minutes; however, they have fallen into long-form videos.
Then, I created several short-form videos that included links to the related long-form videos and posted them on other social media channels.
Furthermore, seeing how this changes after October 15th will be interesting.

I have no idea how this will pan out either. And, it will take time for their algorithms to change. So, it looks like YouTube won’t change current horizontal videos under three minutes into Shorts. Starting October 15, 2024, only new uploads under three minutes with a square or vertical aspect ratio will be marked as Shorts. Existing horizontal videos will stay as regular long-form content on the platform. I guess we will have to wait and see.
