Ecommerce Companies – Stop Leaving Money On The Table

Remember the ‘ole days when everyone loved to window shop? It didn’t necessarily mean we were ready to buy – but we loved to look.

Remembering where we saw each item was much easier in those days as we were generally limited to a certain geographical location. Now with the Internet Revolution, web surfing has replaced “window shopping”.

It is fast. It is easy. It is convenient.

“Window Shopping” is now being done on the Internet because it is easier and most people don’t have much time.

If you are selling on the Internet and you are NOT capturing the contact information of people visiting your website, you are leaving money on the table. Why?

People do not leave their calling card on your website. They might bookmark your site for future use but then again they might not.

If they are not ready to buy what you are selling while they are on your site, it will be very difficult for them to find you again when they ARE ready to buy and they might not even remember having been on your website.

What can you do to make sure that when your potential customers are ready to buy, they come back to YOUR website?

Introducing Lead Capture and Email Marketing

What if you had a compelling message and form for your website visitors to SEE that would grab their attention when they are on your website?

What if you offered them something they would find very valuable in exchange for their contact information?

If you were your own website visitor, do you think you would leave YOUR contact information in exchange for that value? Of course you would.

It is important to make sure that your give-away is relevant and important to your target market. If you are selling red widgets, giving away an e-book about how to groom your pet will not get you many opt-ins. What do you do with these opt-ins once you start building your list?

Keep in front of your target market by sending periodic emails (you decide the schedule) to your target market telling them about new products, specials you are running, information that is relevant to what you are selling, valuable tips and more.

This way, your target market that is now on your “list” will NOT unsubscribe because you are providing value, and when they ARE ready to buy from you, they will be reminded of who you are and where to find you and YOURS is the website they will go back to when they are ready to make a purchase.
