How to Market Your Local Business With Video And More…

As a business owner you’re probably always brainstorming ideas about how to market your business both online and offline.

Marketing your local business online with video is an excellent way to take advantage of online marketing for your local business.

Even when you create a wonderfully produced video, there are some factors that you should take into consideration to ensure the best saturation of your target audience and the success of your online video marketing plan.

If it helps, you can start with writing an article or blog post about something you want to share with your target audience. You can post the text blog or article and still use the video you’ll create next.

Using the blog post or the article as the basis for creating the video, or really a guideline, create the video with the right software and technology (or have someone do it for you).

Don’t read the article or blog post word for word, but use it as a way to remember what you want to say in the video. Re-purpose your content for maximum effectiveness.

Once you have the video completed, then the next step is to place videos strategically where your target audience will see them. You should know exactly who your target audience is and know where they “hang out” on the net so to speak.

But you can also ensure that your Video Search Engine Optimization (VSEO) is impeccable to draw local search results.

The way to ensure that the search engines will send your target audience to your videos is to title them with keywords relevant to your local audience, and put these same keywords within the description of the video.

Never forget, no matter what type of marketing you’re doing online — remember to capture leads. If you put the video on your webpage, you can have a pop up asking for an email before viewing the rest of the video.

If you have posted the video on YouTube, post some sort of incentive in the description to get them to click through to your website and be asked to sign up for your mailing list.

Offering some sort of freebie, such as  some free dental floss with your logo on it, or an eBook or report about “Secrets your Dentist Won’t Tell You” or something like that, will entice the new people to sign up for your list.

The final thing you should do when using video to market your local business is to always, always, follow up. You would be surprised at how many marketers fail in this aspect of basic marketing.

If you create a list for people to sign up to, make sure you’ve created some auto-responder emails to drip into their email every week, at least.

If you send too much they might unsubscribe, but if you don’t send enough, they’ll forget they signed up and when you finally send something, they’ll think it’s spam.

It’s a tight-rope that is important to pay close attention to . The follow up is where you’ll get most of your new customers, as well as maintain current customers, and it is very important to the success of your video marketing endeavors.
