Video creation is currently one of the essential content practices across every industry.
And you can easily attribute this popularity to the fact that even a two-minute video speaks more value than several blocks of text.
That’s why numerous platforms exist to help you create intuitive animations, presentations, and other multimedia content, even with zero technical understanding.
Below are nine video creation platforms to explore while fulfilling your video marketing goals.
Powtoon
Powtoon is a powerful web-based drag-and-drop video creation platform with extensive features such as direct integration with video hosting sites like YouTube and excellent character lip-sync for voiceovers.
This video creator is cloud-based and can only be accessed online.
But that doesn’t sideline the fact that it is very easy to use and has a smooth learning curve for new users.
It has a free plan with limited functionalities and storage. On the other hand, you can explore more features for $15 per month. Other pro-options are as high as $125 per month.
The video below was made using Powtoon.
Animaker
Also cloud-based, Animaker makes a list as one of the most awesome video creation platforms.
Like Powtoon, you can use the voiceover option and import new sounds to your animation, presentation, or whiteboard video.
One interesting aspect of Animaker is that users can download it as mobile software on iOS and Android.
Other features include priority rendering, API and custom reports, BG removal tool, and live animation mix.
The plans are relatively cheaper, starting from free pricing with limited functionalities and watermarks.
Paid plans start from as low as $10 to $49 per month, depending on your choice. The enterprise plan is negotiable.
I personally prefer Powtoons, and as the platforms I similar, I have not opted to purchase this platform.
Vyond (formerly GoAnimate)
Vyond is a top-video creation tool with advanced lip-syncing during voiceovers.
That means your lip movements are easily typed in and interpreted correctly, requiring few or no edits.

The high-tier plans start from $92 monthly. Vyond’s pricing starts from $54 per month with limited functionalities.

Paid plans start at $49 per month. The expensive $99 monthly plan comes with unlimited access and downloads.

Other functionalities to look for include HD video export quality, the drag and drug feature, and a large box of customization options.
Wideo offers a free trial with several restrictions like others on the list.
The paid plans start roughly from $59 to $199 per month. The business plan can be negotiated based on your requirements.

Toonly is a video animation software embedded with voiceover features, high color contrast scheme, and a drag-and-drop option.
You can use this platform to easily create explainer videos and whiteboard animations without sketching a single character.
Although Toonly barely has any special feature, its payment model is one-time, and you don’t need to keep renewing your subscription.
The standard plan is a $ 39 lifetime payment for one user, 30 background scenes, and limited characters.
They also offer an enterprise plan with unlimited props and access for just $69.

Each seems like a pretty darn powerful video maker to me. Video continues to become more important especially with the rise of ai. I feel as if more readers, clients and customers want to know that you are a human being creating the content, answering questions and doing the online work….BEFORE these folks decide to follow your blog, to hire you or to buy your products and services. I upload at least one fresh video daily across a wide range of channels online, from Tik Tok, to Twitter, to Facebook and LinkedIn and YouTube for people to see me, to gauge my take and to prove that I am a meat suit.
Keep up the good blogging work Julie.
Ryan
Hi Ryan,
For the most part, they are all powerful tools. I also agree that they can’t replace the human touch, either via blog content or “talking head” videos where readers can get an idea of who you are and know that you are human.
Hi Julie, Wow I didn’t know they were so many. I’ve tried a view and keep going back to Canva to make my videos. I’ll have to check these out as the video content is really cranking this year! Thank you for the reviews.
Hi Lisa,
There are actually even more! Many of them share common features and are even similar in pricing, so it’s just a matter of choosing the one or two (or three) that work best for you.
These are all great since most are easy to use and plenty use already AI to make things easier. Personally, I don’t have experience with these, but I have tested before Invideo. I think this one is also great for long video form creators.
Hi Sergio,
As you said, there are so many tools available that we have to test out different ones and choose what works best for our needs. Many of them overlap in their capabilities so it’s our job to choose which one(s) to use. We can’t use them all, right?
Hello there, it’s great to read your article on video creation tools. The variety of options you’ve presented in your article is impressive, and I’m sure your readers will appreciate the thorough breakdown of each tool’s features.
Hi Anmol,
There is no shortage of available tools for users to choose from, even more than I have outlined in this post. I have and will be posting a few more. It’s important to know the pros/cons/features/pricing/ease of use, as well as trying out the platforms before deciding which to purchase.
