Video Marketing is the Fastest Growing Digital Marketing Sector
Video marketing is the future of content marketing. It should be one of the newest additions to your promotion toolbox.
A well-designed creative video message will work FOR you 24 hours a day! Marketing and Advertising have been reduced to ONE word…VIDEO!
Do You Know that Video is the MOST-EFFECTIVE Vehicle to Deliver Your Marketing Message?
Still not convinced about the power and importance of using video in your marketing? Take a look at the following statistics:
- Video allows you to connect with your potential customers and lead them towards taking action.
- By 2017, online video will account for 74% of all online traffic (source)

Unless you have been living in a cave, you already know how many people use Facebook!
Facebook represents a huge potential market for your social media efforts, but standing out is becoming increasingly challenging.
According to SEC filing, for the first time, Facebook’s U.S. ad revenue will be larger than the biggest traditional media companies trailing only behind Google. (source)
Basically, the Internet is run by Google and Facebook. As you know, Google owns YouTube so Facebook, in an effort to compete with Google, introduced video a while back and now, has added the ability to use a video for your Facebook Business page header! Facebook’s attention to the importance of video makes our lives more difficult in that we have to maintain our video presence on BOTH YouTube and Facebook. Posting a link to a YouTube video on Facebook is a big no-no!
I have heard it said that posting YouTube videos on Facebook is like ordering a Big Mac at Burger King!
Uploading your video files directly TO Facebook is the way to use videos effectively on Facebook! Why? Facebook does not want to drive traffic to YouTube.
Our eyes pay more attention to something moving than something static. You have heard the old saying: “A picture is worth a thousand words”. How many words is a video worth? I have no idea but it is a LOT! 🙂
So now imagine how much longer someone will stay on your Facebook Business Page if your header is moving! It is human nature to stop and stay a little longer to watch the movement so why not add a video to YOUR Facebook Business page?
Tell More of Your Story With Facebook Page Video Headers
(Note: You will have to “like” the pages below to see the video headers.)
Keep in mind that just like other videos uploaded to Facebook, the audio doesn’t play unless the user clicks on the video. You can post a video from 20 to 90 seconds long. As with all videos, the shorter then better, so I suggest you use only the most salient points of your message in your video and keep it as short as possible. The videos loop for a continuous movement experience adding more engaging interactions and driving a richer experience for your audience by letting you spotlight your creative content in one of the most prominent spaces: your Page cover.
Total Merchant Services
Total Merchant Services provides reduced rates for credit card processing to all industries but focuses on Animal Hospitals. So I created a video with text to highlight the special program called I-Swipe that explains why Animal Hospitals should see how much money they can save with the offer of a free quote. Note that I had to adjust the text in the video so that it would show up on the header. The size of the video headers must be at least 820 x 312, which is significantly shorter in height than most videos thereby making it necessary to adjust the text. Once you upload a video as your header, you are given the option to move it around before publishing it.

The goal of this page, as with all pages, it to attract potential clients and keep them on the page longer than they would normally stay with a static image. What do you think? Does the video make the page more compelling?
